Resolving Reference Search Issues with a Reliable Scale Replacement
We recently completed a job involving a Fanuc 18i-MB CNC machine that was experiencing issues with its positioning system. The machine was originally equipped with a Sony CH33 magnetic scale and CN33 converter, using a PCR-E20FS Honda connector.
The main issue: it could no longer perform a proper reference search, affecting overall accuracy and productivity.
To resolve this, we replaced the existing setup with a Fagor MVX-1020 linear scale—a trusted solution known for precision and durability. After configuring the CNC parameters and connecting the scale via a Honda 20-pin connector, the machine was fully restored and back to smooth operation.
